- sanskrit and most of the european languages are indo germanic sister languages as mentioned in modern linguistics :that is why ths similarity : in indian languages phonological corruption is greater than that of indo germanic languages but if that corruptions are properly understood then you will see that the etymology of more than seventy percent of words in a language like eve tamil related to old sanskrit
Rajesh Shanker i afraid that comparing sansKRit with any other regional languages hardly make any sense.comparing sansKRit with any of the ancient form of indian languages has some relevance.eg.sansKRit with chenthamizh.
